I read this very interesting Board since one year now, but I never post on it yet.
That being said, since this Review concern the last Cyber-Hobby Exclusive "Kurt Student", I think that it's the good opportunity for a first Post, no ?
Well, finally, Kurt Arthur Benno Student, General der Fallschirmtruppe, Kommandeur des XI. Fliegerkorps, is here, after more than one month and half of waiting !
I was surprised to receive him 2 days ago, because I didn't receive the usually UPS Shipping Notification (it's the second time that that arrives) ...
This isn't a "Kreta" Version of Kurt Student, but an "Operation "Eiche" - 1943" version, that's why there are included in the Box the "KRETA" Campaign Cuff-Title and the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oakleaves (he received it on September 27th, 1943).
He is very near of what you can see on the Pictures below from Cyber-Hobby (Sorry, I can't post pictures of him) :
THE REVIEW :
- HEADSCULPT :
The Headsculpt is well done. This is exactly the same one as that which was envisaged. He have the "beauty spot" on the left cheek as the real Kurt Student.
But he should have a face a little "rounder" as the Photo shows it below :
- UNIFORM :
He comes dressed exactly like the CH's Pictures above.
- It's Uniform is well done, realized in a thin cloth material, but the colour is "Night Blue Luftwaffe", not Dark Grey, as opposed to what could let think the Cyber-Hobby's Pics.
- The Buttons are of gold color.
- The Collar Tabs and the Breast Eagle are the screened Dragon's style, already fixed on the Jacket.
- The Shoulder boards are really well done. This is a sort of the "New Pattern 2003" type, maintained in place with the "Nut + Bolt" system in gold, but sewed on the shoulder side. They are made of white cloth material (Waffenfarbe) and plastic (Tresses and Pips). The Pips are gold, but it seems to me that they should be in silver
!
- The 5 Medals which must be laid out on the left pocket of its Jacket, and the "KRETA" Campaign Cuff-Tittle are loose in the Box.
- His Officer Trousers are the new German General Dragon's style, like the ones that came with Guderian and von Rundstedt.
- His Officer Jackboots are the common Dragon pattern but without a shining appearance.
- SHIRT and TIE :
Under his Jacket, he wears a White Shirt with collars, and a Black Tie (closing with a velcro) is included in the Box.
First disappointment : The collar of the Shirt is really too much large
, especially that he must wear on the Tie, the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oakleaves (closing with a velcro, thus not the traditional elastic version 
, but with the problem of the big collar of the Shirt ... 
) !!!
- HANDS :
Kurt Student comes with only a pair of light weathered brown Gloved Hands, less weathered than on the CH's Pictures.
- OFFICER HAT :
Sorry for those who hoped to get the new cloth German Officer Hat style, but as opposed to what Dragon showed on the Cyber-Hobby's Pics, his Officer Hat is the flocked hard style, like the one of Guderian (personally, I prefer in this case) but obviously in "Night Blue Luftwaffe" ... and I was obliged to file the interior in order that it fits well on the head.
Second disappointment : the Insignia are the screened Dragon's style !
- GREATCOAT :
His Greatcoat is very well made,in the same cloth material than the ones of Eugen and the "German Greatcoat Sets". The color is the "Night Blue Luftwaffe" Color like the Uniform.
It have the same Shoulder Boards than the ones of the Jacket.
A pair of screened Collar Tabs for the Greatcoat is in the Box .
- EQUIPMENT :
Nothing special to tell you about his Equipment.
- The Officer Belt is in light brown and is in leather style.
- The Walther PP Pistol comes with the classic brown plastic Holster and 2 clips (??!).
I will finish with two remarks : There are no Ribbon Bars included, and as in 1943, Kurt Student was 53 years old, it should be a little more fatty that doesn't allow it the Dragon Neo Body I, as the Wartime Photos show it. This being said, with the addition of fine fabric under the Jacket, it is possible to resolve that !
In a conclusion, except the problem of the big Collar of the Shirt, and the screened Insignia on the Officer Hat which can be replaced, Kurt Student is a great Figure !
